Lauren Vuong (birth name Vuong Ngoc Lan) is a native of Vietnam and a naturalized U.S. citizen. She immigrated to the U.S. at age 8 with her family as post-war refugees. Lauren attended UC Berkeley where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in English literature. She earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of San Francisco and remains a practicing attorney. A longtime litigator, Lauren specializes in workers’ compensation law with an emphasis on insidious industrial diseases. Lauren advocates for the preservation and proliferation of Vietnamese American history through the arts. She produced and wrote the international, multi-award winning documentary Finding the Virgo.
