The H2OpenDoors project has been installing complete water plants for villages and schools in 11 countries.  Now, the project is trying to only choose villages that want to create an enterprise so that ALL SIX areas of Focus can be met through water sales.  This will also be the subject of Jon Kaufman’s address at the Vatican’s meeting of the Global Sustainability Goals on April 26.

Bio -  Jon Kaufman joined Rotary 7 years ago to do a water project a better way than other NGO’s have been attempting. H2OpenDoors has accomplished 30 installations in 11 countries so far, each one providing 10,000 people with the capacity for a full gallon of safe water each and every day.

Jon owns a marketing agency with 14 employees in San Carlos, and has written a book about the adventures of H2OpenDoors expeditions. Long Walk on a Dry Road can be ordered from Amazon.

Jon lives in SanCarlos with his girlfriend Michelle, also a Rotarian. Their three kids are grown and out of the house, and have been replaced by four dogs.
