It was a beautiful day by the Bay. International Service Director Phil DoughertyPP Jorg Puhr-WesterheideNohemi Beissmann-Mason and Penny Hansen attended the Saturday morning training refresher on different ways to receive Rotary International Global Grants, District Designated Funds and sharing money between Clubs to build a Global Grant. A Global Grant requires $15,000 cash raised that is matched by RI, to begin the application process. The Focus of Grant must be on one or more RI Areas of Focus: Peace, Disease, Clean Water, Sanitation, Mothers and Children, Education and Growing Local Economies. We met Technical Resource members who offered assistance with our ideas and application process. Keith Axtell, is Global Grant Chair of the District and with Holly Axtell as past Chair. We were reminded of where and how our District and individual Club Treasury is funded and how to spend it-in a painless 90-minute refresher training with ample breakfast rolls and coffee.
